RTH 8.46 This is the result of a major redesign of the first-generation 6.46 model, developed with a new explosion to provide lifting capacities of up to 8 tons (17,600 pounds). Inheriting the two extension modes (M1 and M2) already available in the 6.46, the 8.46 takes its place at the top of its class, being one of the most capable rotating telescopic handlers, with only the RTH 6.51, after that, having such a machine on record. Compared to the 6.46, the 8.46 offers unique performance, better in terms of height, 1 m (3 feet) more maximum reach and load capacity, being able to lift 8 tons up to 22 m (17,600 pounds up to 72 feet), carry 1 ton (2,200 pounds) to 31 m (101 feet) of horizontal reach, and carry 500 kg (1,100 pounds) to a maximum distance of 33 m (108 feet).
Incredibly reliable and robust, it is an ideal partner even in the most challenging construction sites, offering operators unparalleled agility and ease of use. No difficulty is too complex: safety and precision are ensured even at the highest elevations.
Versatility
The 8.35 and 8.46 are highly versatile, as they can be used as telescopic handlers with forks, as cranes by attaching a winch, and as off-road winches, as well as aerial platforms through the use of a basket. Furthermore, through the RFID system, the machine recognizes the attachments and automatically adjusts the relevant safety devices and load charts.
Safety and Visibility
With ROPS/FOPS Level 2 certification, the cabin ensures top-notch safety at all stages of operation.
Visibility is enhanced by improving legal and security compliance, moving the cabin forward, increasing the upper glass, and installing a thinner steering column.
Operator Comfort
As with all RTH and TH models, the cabin interiors have been completely redesigned, with all panels now injection-molded for better durability and surface finish. Courtesy lights are attached to various points inside the cabin key when the door is opened. These LED lights can be dimmed and gradually fade out after the machine is shut down.
The airflow inside the cabin has been improved by redesigning the lower part of the front glass to optimize defrosting even in the coldest weather.
To ensure the highest comfort even on the sunniest days, a sun visor is installed above the operator's head, which can be locked in two different positions.
In the new cabin, both armrests, which move with the seat, are removable, and a convenient storage compartment is created under the right armrest. A premium seat with air suspension and a headrest is also available.
New MCTS (Magni Combi Touch Screen) Integrated Control System
The software installed on the new RTH series accessible from the touch screen has been completely redesigned. The redesigned interface graphics provide easy and intuitive use with user-friendly icons to identify various functions.
During the upgrade from the previous version, the software now includes a main menu accessible from various thematic screens with new functions to provide a more thematic and pleasant user experience.
Main functions and innovations include:
Another important innovation is the Magni LLD (Live Load Diagram) system, which offers three different versions of the load table screen for full visibility of operating limits to ensure total safety:
Finally, like the entire new RTH series, this model is equipped as standard with a reverse camera visible on the MCTS monitor, which is activated automatically when reverse gear is engaged.
